/ About the project

Montoya is driven by a philosophy of restraint, collaboration, and respect for what already exists. Rather than presenting the space as a finished object, the creative direction focuses on process. How ideas emerge through proximity, shared environments, and dialogue across disciplines. Visually and structurally, the film mirrors the designers’ approach by emphasizing simplicity, reduction, and the tension between old and new. Untouched textures, imperfect surfaces, and lived-in details are framed not as remnants, but as active participants in the space’s identity. The camera observes how people adapt to the environment and how the environment, in turn, shapes behavior, creativity, and states of mind. Ultimately, the film positions the studio as a living experiment. A place where design is tested in real time, shaped by history, and continuously redefined through human presence.
